Now I'm averaging 3.18 hours of actual useful sleep a night.  I'm not sure if that's good or not but it's a HUGE improvement over what I'd become used to over the last decade.  Using the machine is still awful, but ultimately worth it, I guess.  I'm gonna go work on hitting 4-5 hours, so I'll update you again soon.
